Attire

We would like to remind all MSDT parents to please make sure that your child has the proper attire, hair, and shoes for each of their classes. Adhering to the dress code will allow for instructors to observe the dancer’s body and make corrections to prevent any injures while training at M.S.D.T. All excess jewelry is to be left at home as it is distracting to the dancers' training. All Pointe shoes are fitted by the instructor before the first or 2nd pair is purchased to ensure proper fit.
Online ordering will give you many choices and are the most cost effective. A frequently used site for their relliablity and pricing is Discountdancesupply.com. Wal-Mart, Target, & Payless will provide some items in a pinch.
Full attire is requested for each student after the first few weeks of class. Until then, the studio may have shoes to borrow on a first come first serve basis.
It is imperative that dance shoes are not worn outside as they bring in a lot of dirt and rocks. This makes our floors dirty and scratched. All classes sit down on the floor to do exercises and stretch. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Also parents entering into the studio must also take off their shoes.
